Thank you for considering being a Host Home for the upcoming GRLS WKND!

HERE'S SOME DETAILS:

GRLS WKND is a weekend event taking place FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11 through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13. The purpose of this fun-filled weekend is to give Middle and High School girls an opportunity to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus, reach out to friends who may need to be invited into the family of God, and deepen friendships in their own faith community. Girls will experience powerful worship, dynamic teaching, personal small group discussion, an incredible amount of FUN, and lots and lots of SNACKS! (Because ... they're girls and we're Baptists and its FUN!)

HERE'S THE FORMAT:

At the bottom of this form you will find a sample schedule for GRLS WKND. Girls will be broken into age-graded small groups and assigned female adult leaders who will be with them throughout the weekend. These small family group tribes are hosted in homes of Idlewild members. All large group worship sessions will take place on the Idlewild campus. There MAY be one off-campus activity, which will be communicated in a timely manner.

HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN:

Girls will be staying in host homes based on their specific family group. Idlewild Girls Min would like you to open your home to approximately 12-13 girls and 2 or 3 adult leaders. Girls will provide their own bedding (blankets, pillows, etc) and towels. As a host home, we are asking you to provide BREAKFAST on Saturday MORNING for your girls, otherwise all other meals are provided at the church. This meal is welcome to be simple, such as donuts or cereal, or whatever works for your home. Feel free to partner with other moms or ladies to keep this meal cost effective.

Upon completion of this form, you should hear from Idlewild Student Ministry within the week to confirm you as a host home and give you additional information. We do require that the parents of all host host homes submit to a background check prior to the event.

If you are also able to be an additional driver for YOUR girls, please be sure to fill out the separate GRLS WKND Driver Form. Drop off and pick up times will be dictated by the schedule as well as proximity to the church.
