WSABRB Committee Sign-Up
The State Association of Boundary Review Boards depends entirely on its members and their staffs to keep the operations of the association flowing smoothly. It does this through its committee structure. Below are brief summaries of each committee. Please give serious consideration to serving on one of the committees.

Legislative Committee
This committee is responsible for developing, monitoring, reviewing and responding to legislative proposals which affect board powers and responsibilities under RCW 36.93 and capabilities of Boundary Review boards to perform according to legislative purpose and intent. The committee usually meets once or twice during the legislative session and confers via telephone and email as legislation is introduced. A meeting in Olympia is usually held at the beginning of each legislative session. The ability to attend pertinent Senate and House Hearings in Olympia would be helpful. The President of the Association serves as Chair.
Conference Committee
This committee is responsible for planning the agenda and arranging annual meetings of the Association. Tasks include setting an agenda/program, scheduling speakers and making accommodations and meal arrangements. It is chaired by the incoming President of the Association and is located in the County in which the President serves.
Education Committee
This committee focuses on addressing the ongoing training needs of the Association and needs to focus on how we develop a long-range plan to address these needs.
Nominating Committee
The Executive Board appoints this committee to prepare for elections. The committee usually confers over telephone and solicits nominees for the office of President Elect.
Website Committee
This committee will be responsible for Association website (wsabrb.org) content quality assurance. The committee members will meet 1- 4 times during the year via virtual conference to review and discuss materials that should be placed, modified, or removed from the Association website.
