Justice in The Classroom Leadership Positions Application
The following are the open positions in Justice in The Classroom for the 2021-2022 school year. When acquiring any lead position in Justice in the Classroom, it is integral that you are accountable for the work you are responsible for.

Roles and Obligations of all JITC Leadership:
- Update JITC google excel calendar with your meetings
- Send a 3-5 bullet point list of the week’s accomplishments in slack by 5pm PST each Friday
- Prepare, organize, and lead team meetings (specific to each role).
- Must attend an additional weekly leadership meeting

 Associate Social Media Editor - Communications Division
- Execution of social media content
- Create the JC specific content that aligns with District teams
- Skilled in researching dense topics and turning them into digestible content.
- Will closely collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and District Leads to publish district research and advocacy into digestible content.
- Work closely with Executive  Director (ED)  to proof read all content before publishing
- Must hold each member in the communications division accountable for finishing their tasks  
- Continuously communicate with communications division
- Reposting content on as many social media platforms as possible  
- Assist director of social media in interviews, possibly hosting interviews and takeovers  
- Updating social media content on the Google sheets calendar

Graphic Design and Web Design Director - Communications division
- Consistently updating website with relevant information
- Helping outreach with difficult graphic design for certain digital campaigns  

Director of Advocacy - Advocacy division
-Oversees all district chapters to ensure strong coordination, collaboration, and communication is happening at the  district/site-specific, district/district, and  district/org levels.  
-Is the point of contact for district chapters regarding strategy + development, capacity growth (recruitment help), and onboarding to ensure the overall JITC vision + mission is clear to all district-level members and district stakeholders.
-Prepares and Leads (bi)weekly meetings with all district leads and Chief of Staff (CoS) to discuss district/district / district/org collaboration and to track and assess advocacy strategies of each team.
-Works closely with the CoS to ensure district teams are supported at the executive level and all district advocacy projects are communicated in further executive decision-making processes.
-Looking for candidates that express a strong interest in developing organizing/advocacy strategies (list of aims students can work towards).

CVUSD District Lead - Advocacy Division (must be a student in CVUSD)
- Responsible for preparing and leading weekly district team meetings.
- Works closely with the Director of Advocacy on strategizing campaigns, advocacy/organizing initiatives at the district/site-specific, district/district, and  district/org levels.  
- Responsible for setting up a district-level recruitment plan.
- MUST recruit at least 1 representative from each school site
- Work closely with district officials, School Board Trustees, teachers, and parents to ensure all stakeholders within the district collaborate on achieving 6 proposals.  

SVUSD District Lead - Advocacy Division (must be a student in SVUSD)
- Responsible for preparing and leading weekly district team meetings.
- Works closely with the Director of Advocacy on strategizing campaigns, advocacy/organizing initiatives at the district/site-specific, district/district, and  district/org levels.  
- Responsible for setting up a district-level recruitment plan.
