Survey - Assessing the contribution of financial institutions to climate change adaptation
Welcome!

Thank you for considering participating in this survey by the Adaptation Working Group of the GlobalABC.

Context:
In 2023, the Adaptation Working Group of the GlobalABC will produce a report on the Evaluation of Contribution to Climate Change Adaptation of all stakeholders along the value chain of the Buildings and Construction sector.
To assess the contribution of  financial institutions, the group needs to conduct a short survey.
This survey will address the framework of adaptation in asset management/investments/financing plans/roadmaps, taking into account the systemic integration of adaptation in asset management/ investments/financing plans/ roadmaps of building and construction value chain, and financial institution-specific levers for climate change adaptation.

Goal:
We aim to understand how financial institutions integrate adaptation to climate change into their own asset management/investments/financing plans/roadmaps:
  • what processes are in place;
  • how they monitor their own progress;
  • set their own goals; and
  • what metrics they use to monitor their contribution to climate change adaptation.

Target audience: Banks, financial companies, specialized financial institutions, international financial institutions, market authorities, rating agencies, financial analysts, mortgage companies, loan companies, brokerages and pension fund management companies, management funds, investment funds, insurance etc. integrating or wishing to integrate climate change adaptation into their assets/investments/financing plans/roadmaps.

Please consider sharing this survey further to expand its outreach:

Time required: 15 to 20 minutes.
This survey consists of 1 introduction, 4 questions, 1 conclusion.

Deadline: July 31st, 2023.

Output:
Answers will be anonymised. A feedback summary of the results of this survey will be communicated to respondents in June and its findings will serve as the basis for the redaction of the relevant part of our report to be published in November.

A pdf version of the survey is available here. This version is for information only. Please fill in the survey online.
