2024 Locktoberfest
Lockport Main Street (LMS) in partnership with the Locks Heritage District, is pleased to present the 11th annual Locktoberfest, a community celebration of the fall harvest season on the Erie Canal. The marketspace for this  celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Canal Street.

Lockport Main Street Inc will work with the City of Lockport,  the Locks Heritage District Corporation, to promote the event, as well as build a safe and engaging festival. Please complete the application below by July 1st, 2024!

Fees:

Attention existing Lockport Community Farmers Market vendors -If you pre-paid for the full market season, there is no additional fee.  

If you pay weekly, please include your payment with this application. 

If you do not participate in the Lockport Community Farmers Market your vendor fee for the day is : $35

There is a $25 for the use of electricity and you will be provided a 20AMP (120 Volt) hook up if possible. First come first serve and you will be notified in your acceptance letter. 

Please mail or email your application no later than August 31st, 2024 if you wish to participate. The committee reserves the right to reject any application based on the appropriateness of products as they fit into the intended image and goals of the event. Your fee and any permits or remaining paperwork should be submitted AFTER you receive and acceptance letter.

Rules and Regulations:

All spaces are 10’ x 10’x 12' (enough for a 10x10 tent with 2 feet in-between vendors) and will be available on a first signed-up basis. Current Lockport Community Farmers Market Vendors will have priority to the application, all current market vendors will pay their current weekly fee for the event, full-season vendors have no vendor fee for this event.

Vendors will be given a space number, instructions on unloading and loading, and parking, prior to the event.

Vendors must read and sign the Vendor Handbook agreement which is located in the Locktoberfest Vendor Handbook which will be sent out in your acceptance email. This MUST be returned back to LMS BEFORE the event.

There will be no vehicle parking in any of the Canal Street parking lots, as the area will be closed off after 8:30 am for safety reasons.  Vendors will be asked to unload and then move their vehicles to a designated adjacent lot.

If you are signed up and cannot attend, please contact Grace Platt at 716-434-0212, or email at LockportMarket@gmail.com no later than September 21st, 2024. Any cancellations after September 21 will forfeit their vendor fee. 

If any persons will be vending on behalf of your business other than those listed on this application, please provide the names to Grace Platt prior to the event.

Vendors should be prepared to get themselves set up, torn down, and bring everything with them needed to conduct business for the day including : 10 x10 tent, tent weights (mandatory), chairs, tables, products, change/money, etc.  

Set-up will begin at 7:00 am and all vendors should be completely set-up and ready to greet customers by 10:00 am sharp. If you are not set up by 10am you may be asked to leave and forfeit your vendor fee. Items for sale at the event must correspond to what is listed below. Be prepared to be scheduled to arrive as early as 7:00 am.

Your booth must always be manned, breakdown may not take place prior to 6:00 pm.

Vendors must give management 1 week's notice if unable to attend this event via email, text or call. The market management has the right to deny vendor future participation due to lack of attendance and/or lack of notice. LMS reserves the right to accept or deny any application at any time.

The event will take place rain or shine.  No rain dates will be offered.  The event will only be canceled in the event of severe or dangerous conditions. The organizers will contact vendors that morning if there is a need to cancel.

Participation is limited to legitimate farms and businesses as defined by New York State and Federal regulations. Farmers and Food Vendors must have proper permits as defined by the Niagara County Health Department.

A copy of a certificate of insurance naming Lockport Main Street (160 Washburn Street, Suite 1-202, Lockport, 14094) as additionally insured is required to participate in this event.

Additional information may be requested after the submission of an application. Once your application is received, we will email you a letter of acceptance that confirm your placement in the event and your vendor fee.

Acceptance and denial letters to this event will be sent out beginning April 1st, 2024!
 
Vendors participate in the event at their own risk. Individual insurance for all vendors is required naming Lockport Main Street Inc as additionally insured. Please contact Grace at lockportmarket@gmail.com for any questions!
