Python Programming
Do you want your child to learn the most popular beginner’s programming language while having lots of fun? Join us this summer to build some cool projects using Python. Your child will follow the CS Wonders (www.cswonders.com) curriculum to learn fundamentals of computer science, sharpen their problem-solving skills, and discover the fun of software development.

What will we build?
Students will incorporate graphics into projects and make their own games, such as:
- Number and logic games
- Interactive games
- Interesting art and animations

What will your child learn?
- Python 1 (7/15-7/26): No prior programming experience is required.
    - Display text and images on screen
    - Prompt users for input
    - Use variables and functions
    - Implement loops and conditionals
    - Manipulate strings
    - Generate random numbers and make random choices
    - Use turtle module to draw images

- Python 2 (7/29-8/9): Must have passed Python 1 or equivalent courses
    - Learn advanced topics including: lists, dictionaries, classes, modules, and recursion

- Python 3 (8/26-8/30): Must have passed Python 2 or equivalent courses
    - Learn more advanced topics including: files, exceptions, regular expression, os and sys modules

This class is for kids 10 - 16. Please bring your own laptop. If you need a computer, please let us know one day before the first class starts.

Art Design
1. Points, Lines, Planes -- Back to the Nature (atom and cell) (7/15-7/26)
    a. Design your project for Wax Batik
    b. Spectacular Wax Batik Art DIY

2. Non-Euclidean Geometry -- Picasso in the Period of Cubism
    Learn from Picasso by creating your own Cubism art using non-euclidean geometry  (7/29-8/9)
    a. Design your project for felted
    b. Needle Felted Pet
    c. Wet Felted Flowers or bowls

3. Plane Composition Design -- 16 Forms (8/19-8/30)
    a. Design your project for Sculpture
    b. Sculpture art
    c. Handmade Paper

Tuition & Fees
Tuition:
   Python 1: $600 (9am - 12pm, 7/15-7/26)
   Python 2: $600 (9am - 12pm, 7/29-8/9)
   Python 3: $400 (9am - 12pm, 8/26-8/30)

   Arts:  $300/week (not including special material fee) (1pm - 4pm)

   Lunch: Free 1 hour lunch break for full time students. Will have outdoor time. Please bring your own lunch.
