This march is facilitated by the Student Environmental Advocacy in collaboration with Narbonne High School Eco Club, West High School Enviro Club, Torrance High KIWINS, Poly Green Team, Narbonne High School Key Club, El Segundo High Climate Club, Narbonne High School KIWINS, and Narbonne High School UNICEF.
This march will draw attention to environmental justice and the direct effects that the close proximity of oil refineries to schools has on students. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear stories of students experiencing the tangible impacts of this issue.
We would love to have a general idea of how many people will be participating in this event, so please sign up if you plan to attend. Also, spread the word to garner as much attention toward this effort as possible, and bring all your friends to come support.
This march will also be a fundraising event, and all proceeds will go to STAND LA, which is a local organization dedicated to ending neighborhood drilling.
