Marianist Leadership Scholars - Recommendation Form
The Marianist Leadership Scholars Program (MLS) was created by the United States Province of the Society of Mary as an opportunity for graduates of Marianist high schools to continue to grow and develop within the Marianist tradition (the program is also available to participants in the Marianist LIFE summer programs). Members of the Marianist Leadership Scholars Program are challenged and supported in connecting academics with service and leadership in the greater community.

This four-year faith, service, and leadership program, which includes a renewable scholarship of $4,000 per year, is available to those graduates who have demonstrated both an understanding and a practice of the Marianist story.  Students who participate in the Marianist Leadership Scholars Program are asked to meet certain expectations while at the University:
    - Attend monthly meetings planned by the MLS Coordinator and MLS Team
    - Attend a yearly retreat with the MLS community
    - Involve oneself in a chosen leadership position at the University of Dayton
    - Complete a minimum of 10 hours of service each semester, including MLS sponsored projects
    - Strive to maintain a 3.0 grade-point average each semester
    - Participate in community building activities
    - Re-apply yearly based on above expectations

As part of the application process, students need 2 recommendations. One must be from a teacher, administrator, or counselor.  The second must come from a community, parish, or school organization where you have led or served.

The priority deadline is November 15, 2022 and applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis.
