Resumes for the Victoria Market: Cover Letter and Resume Feedback Program for the Legal Community in Victoria, BC
In an effort to build a network for Asian Canadian lawyers in Victoria, we have launched an initiative to help a FACL law student or a junior lawyer in Victoria with their cover letters and resumes. A senior lawyer or a legal professional in Victoria will proofread and offer comments on your cover letters or resumes, or both. They will also provide pointers that could be specifically helpful in the local Victoria market. Please keep in mind that the reviewers are expected to spend no more than one hour to review your materials.

This initiative is aimed at law students who want to practise in Victoria, and junior lawyers who are currently working in Victoria or the Vancouver Island region. We have a limited number of spots available and we may not be able to accommodate everyone who registers. Strong preference will be given to applicants with current or previous work experience in Victoria, or concrete plans to work in Victoria. You must be a member of FACL BC to participate in this program. It can be difficult to connect with practising lawyers in Victoria, especially those who self-identify as Asian Canadian. This program is an opportunity to connect with other Asian Canadian lawyers in Victoria and show you how you can help grow this community if you choose to continue your career in Victoria.

To register for this program, please fill out the registration form and we will contact you if you have been matched with a reviewer.
