Join our effort to ensure $17.9 billion in federal funds reach Texas students and schools as intended.
Congress has allocated billions of dollars in COVID relief and recovery funds to K-12 schools nationwide. But in Texas, lawmakers are preventing those funds from reaching our students and schools. We need your help to be sure these funds reach Texas students and Texas communities.

Across the country, schools are using these COVID relief funds to address costs and needs related to the pandemic - resources to support academic growth and student mental health, projects to improve ventilation on campuses, opportunities for after-school programs, improved technology and teacher training to target emerging needs. These relief funds are an essential part of recovery for our schools and students, and they are a key element of COVID recovery for our communities and our state.

Here in Austin, we are waiting for an estimated $241 million in funds for Austin ISD alone, and more than $500 million for districts in the Austin Metro area. Districts have plans for using the funds to make an impact. How can you help? By signing a letter from our community showing your support. This project is being led by the Austin Council of PTAs, and we welcome signatures from organizations and individuals.

Your name and organization will be added to ACPTA Federal Stimulus Community Action Letter (https://bit.ly/3sbdxGg), which will go to lawmakers on Tuesday, April 27th. So sign up now!
