Students in all years are able to join one or more music ensembles.

The Co-Curricular Brochure 2024 has all necessary information about our Music program.

During each year EBHS ensembles will perform at school, in music festivals, competitions and in many performances in the wider community.

Some music highlights in recent years include: String Orchestra won Platinum Award at the National Eisteddfod (2023), Wind Ensemble won gold at the Pacific Basin Music Festival, Honolulu (2016). Senior Percussion Ensemble placed 1st in the Sydney Eisteddfod (2023). Stage Band placed 2nd in the Sydney Eisteddfod (2022). Senior Vocal Ensemble placed 1st in the Sydney Eisteddfod (2022). Concert Band won a Gold Award at the Australian Schools Band and Orchestra Festival (2022).
Production of School Musical – Les Miserables (2019), West Side Story (2017). Tours to Big Band Blast at Port Macquarie (2017, 2018, 2022), National Eisteddfod in Canberra (2023). Planned Music Tour to New Zealand in 2025.

Further Information

1. Beginner musicians should speak to the music staff to discuss their options for joining an ensemble. Most suited to Junior Percussion Ensemble, Junior Guitar Ensemble and Junior Vocal Ensemble.
2. Refer to the Co-Curricular Brochure 2024 for information on ensemble membership. All instrumentalists are encouraged to have private tutors.
3. For membership in the Junior Vocal Ensemble, the fee has been waived. Membership of all other Ensembles attract a fee (refer to Co-Curricular brochure 2024).
4. Submit your name early 2024 to music staff if you wish to hire an instrument. This is due to the limited number of instruments available for hire.
