What MIXED is:
MIXED is a collaborative program between the Asian American Cultural Center and the Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center that embraces and celebrates mixed heritage and trans-racial adoptee experiences. The events MIXED hosts focus around the intersection between races and range from film screenings, cook-offs, workshops, and more.
Position Description:
- Commitment: 1 year
- Responsibilities: work with a co-coordinator from the Puerto Rican Latin American Cultural Center to create programming and collaborations with other organizations
- Time commitment:
- 1 hour/every other week to meet with the MIXED team (includes co-coordinator from PRLACC & pro staff)
- .5 hour/every other week to meet 1 on 1 with your supervisor
- Attendance at programs (1 or 2 a month)
- Attendance at 1-2 hour AsACC staff meetings every other Friday during the semester
- Additional time commitments are required as needed.
***This is a paid position and you are considered a staff member of the Asian American Cultural Center.
- GPA Requirement: at least 3.00 cumulative
