Nextfest Community Check-In
This virtual check-in is for anyone who is a part of the Nextfest community to connect and share space in a safe environment. Grab your favourite hot morning beverage, some breakfast, or a blanket and curl up! Facilitated by Brooke Leifso!

WHO: Brooke Leifso is many things: Expressive Arts practitioner, researcher, artist, and producer. Commissioned by the Ad Hoc Assembly and supported by the Edmonton Community Foundation, Brooke co-researched and co-produced a report on how to make performing arts more accessible in Edmonton. In various capacities, she has worked with the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton Fringe Theatre, Ground Zero Productions, Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre, Theatre Yes, Azimuth Theatre, and CRIPSiE, NorQuest College (Lead Researcher, Autism CanTech!). She also has lived experience of disability and has a Masters in Expressive Arts – Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding: how can community art making create social cohesion. Her personal art practice is based in collective performance. Favourite credits include Dwelling, Studies of Sleep, s/kin, A wake.
