Room parents primarily help plan and attend 1-3 class parties during the year. Depending on grade it may be Halloween, Winter, and/or Valentines. Most likely dates for these parties would be 10/31, 12/22, 2/14
Room Parents chosen will receive an email with contact information for other room parents. One MUST contact the teacher, preferably at least 2 weeks in advance of a party, to ask for a time/date and keep the teacher in the loop of planned activities. Teacher's have the right of final approval. Teachers may ask room parents to assist in other ways throughout the year.
The PTO asks that room parents take photos at events they attend and send them to the yearbook team. When there is an abundance of volunteers for 1 class, we may have different parents for different parties, if they have more than 1. Please understand if we are not able to accommodate all requests, although we try our best to make sure everyone has at least 1 party for 1 of their children, and more whenever possible. After selecting your child's homeroom, please make a note at the end if you have any preferences for classes or holidays.
