Join Bernie on Thursday, October, 15 and Friday, October 16, 2020, for a free landscape painting workshop. Participants will spend one hour each day at the Museum. Please bring a rectangular landscape (horizontal orientation) photograph for a reference. All other supplies will be provided. If you have brushes please feel free to bring them.
Workshops are limited to two sections with 10 participants in each section.
• One group will meet at 10 am each day, the other group will meet at 11:30 am each day. Each participant will be provided a set of their own individual supplies.
• Participants are required to wear a mask at all times.
• Participants will be expected to social distance.
• Any participant who feels sick should stay at home.
Formal concerns about composition, color, and technique will be explored along with the approaches I employ in my work. Please keep in mind that a completed masterpiece is not the objective of this workshop. Typically, oil painting requires some drying time between painting sessions. I do believe that we can make sufficient progress in the two-hour session to establish valuable insight and direction that will enable a participant to pursue landscape painting if they so choose. No prior oil painting experience is required. Only a relaxed body and an open mind, coupled with the courage to fail, will provide you with the energy to succeed! It is my privilege to share with you the experience I have gained over time. I will be learning much from you as we all learn together.
