This program offers up to a $100.00 grant to any K-12 student who shares an identity with the ones listed below and is enrolled in a K-12 Florida music percussion program. A student may only apply for this grant once per school calendar year.
Modern Marimba is committed to amplifying the voices of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual), people with disabilities (vision impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, mental health conditions, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, physical disability), and women/girl/female/femmes through youth music education in mallet percussion.
The information requested will remain confidential and only be used to verify information with the schools and music directors. Please leave us a note with instructions as to any additional info we need to know protect the student's privacy.
These funds can be used for musical purposes: mallet purchases, instrument purchase or rental, sheet music, music supplies, private lessons, band instrument rental fees, FBA solo and ensemble fees for mallet solos/ensembles, etc.
