VPA FirstNotes Choir is non-auditioned multi-age youth choir open to anyone in grades 3-12. It focuses on building vocal skills, developing vocal tone, and learning to sing harmony parts.
VPA Youth Performance Company is an auditioned group for more advanced students in grades 5-12 that builds vocal skills in a variety of styles, incorporates musical theatre, and gives opportunities for solo and small-group singing. Previous members of YPC do NOT need to re-audition but do need to come to callbacks.
- To audition, please submit a one-minute vocal audition video (singing a solo of your choice)
- Vocal audition videos must be emailed to choir@vpafoundation.org by Monday, March 11th at 11:59 pm.
- Callbacks will be held at Sherwood Middle School on Thursday, Mar. 14 from 3:45-4:45 pm
- YPC members are welcome and encouraged (but not obligated) to participate in FirstNotes Choir at no additional cost, either as a singer, peer mentor, or teacher's assistant.
Tuition for the spring session of FirstNotes Choir is $165.
Tuition for the spring session of Youth Performance Company is $195.
VPA wants to allow all students to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. Financial assistance is available in the form of reduced tuition rates and full scholarships. Please email choir@vpafoundation.org if you would like more information on financial aid.
