AIA Silicon Valley is proud to announce a new effort to support excellence in practice, the Practice Leadership Committee (PLC). The PLC will host events and create resources for AIASVC members related to business planning, strategy, growth, transition, leadership development, HR, marketing, finances, technology, operations, and more.

Please fill out this quick form to help us gauge your interest in the PLC, our events, and resources.

At the bottom of the form please RSVP for our PLC Kickoff Event (11/21 6:00pm-8:00pm at DES) if you are interested in attending. During the kickoff we will form the committee, roundtable, advisor, and researcher groups, and assign discussion topics for 2020. Thank you!

Descriptions of PLC Involvement:
The following are ways you can engage with the PLC. Please read the descriptions and then select those that you are interested in in the next question.

PLC Event Attendee: Anyone with an interest in practice and would like to attend events hosted by subject matter experts

PLC Roundtable Member: Firm leaders who commit to attending and contributing to small-group discussions (~10 members) every other month (Thursday evenings, exact dates TBD). You must be (or have been) a director-level firm leader or above, attend all roundtable discussions for the year (5), be respectful, and maintain the privacy of other Roundtable members.

PLC Advisor: Subject matter experts who moderate roundtable discussions and present on topics of interest to membership at events.

PLC Researcher: Any AIA SVC member interested in developing and publishing practice resources for membership (including white papers, toolkits, guides, and more). Researchers will attend a roundtable discussion and its follow-up event, then work with the PLC Committee and Advisor to create and publish content (roughly 3 month commitment).

PLC Committee Member: Committee members are roundtable members who also set and lead the direction of the PLC, select and manage advisors, researchers, and roundtable members, and are responsible for planning, directing, and hosting events. Committee members must have a strong commitment to the success of architectural practices of AIA SVC members. Mandatory monthly meetings (in person and via teleconference).
