MUES Director Application 2023-2024
The following application is for individuals to indicate interest in a Director position at Metropolitan Undergraduate Engineering Society for the 2023/2024 term. 

Please be advised that the selection procedure involves the submission of the application following by a presentation at the next board meeting. 

Before continuing, please ensure that you have read and understood the role of your specific Director as per the policy manual: mues.ca/about-us/governance/

The duties of discipline directors as defined in the policy manual are included (but not limited to):

§3.9.2.1 Participate in at least two (2) Executive committees throughout the academic year. 
§3.9.2.2 Attend meetings held by their respective course union, provided the meetings are open to the discipline director. 
§3.9.2.3 Throughout the year, provide updates on all activities of the course union and the students in their discipline to the Board of Directors. 
§3.9.2.4 Have the option to appoint representation for each year in their respective disciplines to liaise between the director and the student body. 
§3.9.2.5 Represent the interests and the concerns of the membership of their discipline. 
§3.9.2.6 Be required to maintain two-way communications with their department and course union to learn what they have planned for the semester and to address any concerns they may have. 
§3.9.2.7 Plan, perform and contribute at least one (1) event per academic semester. 
§3.9.2.7.1 The event can be held independently or in collaboration with other student groups or MUES. 
§3.9.2.7.2 The event can be open to all disciplines
