Downtown Evanston is excited to host our 6th annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest as part of the Sidewalk Sale from July 21-23. Artists are paired with local businesses to create chalk art designs in front of the storefront. A panel of judges votes on the winning chalk art designs.

This year, we are partnering with One River School to engage a variety of age groups for which there will be a grand prize winner and runner-up. A team can have up to 4 people.

The chalk artists will be assigned a sidewalk square and receive a pack of pastels and sidewalk chalk. Chalk art must be completed on Saturday, July 23 between 9am and 3pm. The winners will be announced at 5pm on Saturday at Fountain Square.
