LVCF COVID-19 Guidelines July 2020
In response to recent relaxation of government restrictions LVCF wishes to resume activities including workdays on the farm.  These will need to look a little different than before therefore we have put together the guidelines below to keep everyone as safe as possible:

General
Please be respectful of each other’s wishes regarding the new ‘social norms’ and enjoy the farm and each other’s company.  Have confidence to ask people to move away if you feel they are too close and don’t be offended if asked!
Any individual who is shielding due to a medical condition, showing symptoms of COVID or who is isolating as they have been in contact with someone who is showing symptoms should not come to the farm at any time (including alone).  If they are due to do a feed during this period they should contact Elaine to get somebody to cover.
On arrival at the farm all individuals should immediately wash or sanitise their hands (hand gel will be provided)
Social distancing of 2m should be maintained between households.
Individuals should bring their own food and refreshments and these should not be shared between households.  The kitchen area in the Penthouse is closed until further notice.
Tools must not be shared between households without being cleaned in between.  After use please immediately wash tools in soapy water or wipe with the disinfectant wipes provided before returning to the sheds.  It may help on workdays if members bring their own tools and label gloves etc. with their names.
The farm is unable to lend gloves but will maintain a supply that individuals can purchase if they forget their own.
After using the composting toilet individuals should wipe down surfaces with the wipes provided.  Wipes should be bagged and taken home for disposal
Signage around the site shows the maximum number of households that can be in the inside spaces at any one time
The play areas/equipment may be used.  Children should wash or sanitise their hands before and after use.  Parents should consider how social distancing can be maintained and the number of children in the area at one time should be limited to achieve this.

Workdays
Workdays will recommence on 19th July and the first one will be open to Full and Associate members and their households only.  New volunteers will be able to come along from 1 August.
If members will be attending they MUST sign up on the google calendar by midnight on Thursday prior to the workday
New volunteers should sign up with the membership secretary who will let Head of General know who to expect.  This is so we can ensure there are sufficient jobs/equipment for people to do tasks socially distanced
Names and contact details must be given for everyone entering site.  The paper copy of the document will be destroyed and a single photo copy will be saved by the directors for one month in case it is needed by NHS track and trace

Coming to the Farm at other times
Individuals should continue to sign up using the google calendar so we have a record of who was on site at any time
There is no longer a restriction on the number of households attending site at any one time provided they are coming to complete jobs
If members are attending site for social reasons only the number of people is currently restricted to 6 individuals as per the government guidelines
Overnight camping is allowed but this will be restricted to the maximum of two households or up to 6 people.  This should be booked via the google calendar.  The above guidelines must be followed and all rubbish should be taken to be disposed of offsite.
Members may bring non-members to the site for social reasons and should indicate they have done so by comments on the google calendar (i.e. "Joe Bloggs + 1 guest").  Members will be responsible for ensuring their guests comply with these guidelines and for ensuring their have an up to date contact number for their guest in case of track and trace being needed.

Meetings
Meetings will continue to be virtual except where committees are made up of 6 people or less in which case they may meet in person on the farm or another outdoor venue.
