We encourage all entrants to project a patriotic theme that honors our country and the spirit of the day.
The Clawson 4th of July Parade is a family-oriented event and all participants must perform in a tasteful manner. Obscene/offensive gestures and foul language will not be tolerated and participants will be removed from the parade. The parade is not the venue for divisive agendas. The Parade Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any applicant for any reason.
Participation in the Clawson 4th of July Parade shall be at participants own risk. Participant assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages, and does hereby release and discharge Clawson 4th of July Committee, Officers, Agents of the aforementioned from any and all claims, demands, damage, rights or causes of action present or future resulting from participation in the 2019 Clawson 4th of July Parade. I have also read and understand the rules of this parade and agree to abide by them. Festival or festival's designees may use the names and likeness of the participants for promotional purposes without further compensation.
★ Do NOT throw objects of any kind (candy, toys, etc.) to or at spectators along the parade
route.
★ DO hand objects to spectators, but only at or behind the curb.
★ Do NOT use squirt guns or water hoses due to the number of complaints we receive.
★ DO keep up with the unit in front of you. We want to avoid gaps in the parade.
★ DO listen to the Parade marshals. Marshals will assist you at lineup and throughout the
parade route. Parade marshals are authorized to enforce the rules and also have the right to remove entries that do not comply.
★ DO be in the proper parade unit order. Positions assigned in the parade order may not
be changed.
★ DO maintain proper spacing between units, as directed by parade officials.
★ DO use the provided bus transportation at Schalm School to return your group to
Clawson Center if needed.
