Hello everyone,
 
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Penn State Postdoc Society invite postdoctoral scholars, postdoctoral fellows and assistant research professors across University Park campus to participate in the 14th Annual Postdoc Research Exhibition to be held on September 30th and October 1st, 2021
With a mix of online and hybrid events, we hope to engage all postdocs in conversation around various aspects of professional development for academic and non-academic careers.
In addition to panels, Keynote and discussions, there will be lightning talk and short talk competitions with prizes.
We hope you will participate with enthusiasm and make this event a success!

Panelists from a range of careers will talk about their experiences and strategies in this discussion. We have industry, science policy and administration represented.

2:00 PM        3:15 PM Incorporating Teaching Experiences into Postdoc Training.
In this session presenters will share how they incorporated teaching experiences in their postdoc training.
The moderated discussion will enable in creating a toolkit for interested postdocs to develop teaching skills during their postdoc training. The panelists are current and past Penn State postdocs who have been able to teach during their postdoc training. We hope that the take away from these discussions will lead into actionable items for Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Penn State Postdoc Society

LIGHTNING TALKS COMPETITION DETAILS:
Format: Each presenter gives a 4-minute short talk (with slides); limited to top 10-11 of submitted abstracts only. Guidelines for submitting Abstract for Lightning Talk is at
Selection will be based on a rubric that will be shared with those registering below to compete and assessment will be made by invited selection committee members of postdocs and assistant research professors. Participants in the competition can indicate below if they prefer to be online or in-person.
On the day of the event, there will be three judges from the University community, with a live and online audience.
There will be three judges prizes and one audience prize for this event.
You can compete in both lightning and short talk competitions.

Format: 10- minute talk with slides; limited to 5 to 6 of submitted abstracts only.
Selection will be based on a rubric that will be shared with those registering below to compete and assessment will be made by invited selection committee members of postdocs and assistant research professors. On the day of the event, there will be three judges from the University community, with a live and online audience.
There will be two judges prizes and one audience prize
You can compete in both lightning and short talk competitions.
