ISSTA 2019 Student Travel Grant Application
Financial support is available for students attending ISSTA 2019 via NSF Award 1914405.  In order to be eligible, applicants must be students who are (1) US citizens or US permanent residents and/or (2) enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs at accredited US universities.

We anticipate granting around 10 awards of approximately $1000 USD, including $500 for conference registration and up to $500 to partially defray the cost of travel and lodging.  As part of ISSTA's and the NSF's commitment to broadening participation in computing, two awards are reserved for students whose participation will improve the diversity of computing research and one award is reserved for a student who has not attended ISSTA before.

The Awards Committee will review the applications to determine which type of award the applicant is eligible for (i.e., reserved for first-time attendees, reserved for students whose participation will improve the diversity of computing research, or unrestricted). For reserved awards, preference will be based primarily on the applicant’s personal statement. For the unrestricted awards, preference will be given to students in the following order:

(1) students who are an author of a paper accepted to the technical program of ISSTA 2019;
(2) students who are accepted to participate in the ISSTA 2019 Doctoral Symposium;
(3) students who are accepted to participate in workshops co-located with ISSTA 2019;
(4) students who are accepted to participate in the conference’s Student Volunteer program;
(5) students whose participation improves the diversity of computing research;
(6) students whose academic and research goals are consistent with the scope of ISSTA.

Within each category, students will be considered based on their personal statements.

To apply:

(2) Have your advisor email a supporting statement to clause@udel.edu.  The statement should indicating the availability (or lack thereof) of travel funds from all sources available to you (the applicant).
