OER/Low/NoCost Request
BHCC's designation for Open Education is growing to be more inclusive. Courses that are no cost, low cost ($50 or less) or use openly licensed content meet our requirement for the OER designation.

Please fill out this form to have your course registered as an OER/Low/NoCost course at BHCC. Please make sure you have your course number, section, and information about your course materials (e.g. textbook title & cost, links to publications, etc.).

Once the form is filled out, you will be contacted by Ceit De Vitto Senior Special Program Coordinator. Her email address is  kmdevitt@bhcc.edu.  Please use your BHCC email address below.

Do you have a course already listed as OER at BHCC? *
Please provide the semester, course number, section and name of course that you are teaching - for example, FA 2020 BIO 105-WB2 Introduction to Biology  
This is optional, if you have it, it's fine if you don't, don't worry. Please provide the Section ID for the course,  this is important to have so the Registrar's office can flag your course properly- This number would be in self-service. It also can be found with your roster. Or you can get it from your Department Chair.
Are you willing to allow Ceit De Vitto, the Senior Special Program Coordinator to review your course to see if it aligns with BHCC’s current definition of OER.  This information will only be shared with the faculty member. Criteria for review:Does the OER/no-cost/low-cost Materials meet the BHCC’s definition? Does the OER/no-cost/low-cost  Materials have appropriate copyright labels?Are the OER/no-cost/low-cost Materials accessible?
