2024 Barbara Fink Leadership Award
FLAEYC members are encouraged to honor a peer with the Barbara Fink Leadership Award. This honor is awarded to members who have demonstrated superior and outstanding leadership over their career. This award honors the excellent leadership of Mrs. Barbara Finks who served as the first President of FACUS in 1956 and as President of SACUS in 1960-62. 

The award(s) will be presented during the 2024 FLAEYC Annual Conference, October 16 - 20 at the Omni Champions Gate, Kissimmee, FL. 

Criteria for selection:
1. The nominee must be a current and active member of FLAEYC for at least ten (10) years and must not be a current member of the Board of Directors;
2. Demonstrated dedication to improving the quality of life for young children, their families and early childhood educators;
3. Superior leadership inspiring members toward professionalism through dedication and concern for young children; and
4. Outstanding service and leadership to ECE at the national, state and/or local levels.

Application Process:
In addition to a completed application, the following must also be submitted by the Nominator:
  • Nominee's Resume showing FLAEYC-related volunteer service and leadership activities;
  • Two (2) letters of support (maximum one page in length) including one from a current FLAEYC member; and
  • Headshot Photo of Nominee (.jpg or .png)
