「リブ新宿センター」は、1972～77年に東京の女性解放運動のグループにより運営されました。リブ新宿センターでは、フェミニズムを基軸に活動する様々なグループが集い、街頭デモへの参加、ミニコミ誌の発行、ミュージカルの制作・上演を行い、閉塞的な女性像を解放することを目指しました。当時の膨大な資料を保存するため、1983年に「リブ新宿センター資料保存会」が発足しました。このイベントで「保存会」のメンバーが、その活動を紹介しながら現代も同じ問題に取り組む若い世代に語りかけます。
The Lib Shinjuku Center was operated by a group of women's liberation activists in Tokyo. Lib Shinjuku Center functioned as a space that brought together various groups interested in feminism in the 1970s. They participated in street demonstrations, published zines (minikomi), and produced and performed an amateur musical, aiming to liberate women from confining feminine ideals. To preserve the extensive archives of this influential collective and space, the Lib Shinjuku Center Materials Preservation Association was created in 1983. At this event, members of the Preservation Association will reflect on their work and hope also to speak to younger generations grappling with some of the same issues.
