2020 Springbike Board Nominations

Springbike is looking for several volunteers who are willing to help us serve our mission to advocate for safe cycling for our members and for the Springfield community. We meet monthly as a board (every 1st Monday 6-8pm) except a few months each summer.

Would you be willing to serve on our board 10 evenings per year to help make Springfield a better place for cycling? Please nominate yourself or another Springbike member to help us fill one of the following roles this coming year:

1. President - Lead Springbike and our monthly board meetings in 2020
2. Marketing - Publish online news/events to social media, website, email
3. Membership - Assist Springbike members with signups and renewals
4. Ride Coordinator - Oversee or coordinate Chili Ride, Dogwood and Fall Metric

A current board member will followup with each nominee to discuss the role(s) you are interested in. If you are interested in a role that is not currently open, we will keep a record of your interest so we can followup with you when the role becomes available.

President - Lead Club. Announce and lead Board Meetings.

Vice President - Serve as backup to President prior to becoming President.

Secretary - Record minutes and action items during board meetings.

Treasurer - Deposit dues. Pay bills. Prepare financial reports for board meetings.

Membership - Followup with members prior to expiration, assist with signup/renewals.

Programs - Organize club meetings (2nd Monday 6-8pm during October-March)

Advocacy - Represent cycling community as appropriate (City, OTO, etc)

Marketing - Post online news/events. Send monthly news/events updates to membership.

Community Event/Calendar Liaison - Contact coordinators of major annual rides and maintain the annual ride calendar

Ride Coordinator - Plan routes, SAG, volunteers, facilities for Club Rides. Serve as resource for community rides.

Ride Liaison - Communicate and coordinate with major annual ride organizers, maintain annual ride calendar.

Tandem Coordinator - Plan tandem rides. Serve as a resource for community rides.
