At our fifth annual event in Lincoln called Strengthening Democracy Awards, on May 2nd we will be recognizing politically diverse youth and adult leaders who exhibit civic leadership in the Lincoln community and are working to create a more civic and civil society.
This civic leadership should be typified by:
- Use of consensus building and civil discourse to solve a community issue or problem
- Civic leadership to directly (hands on) address the issue or problem
- Developing leadership among and involving others
Keep in mind no instance of leadership is too big or small. It can be a project in a neighborhood or a community wide initiative.
Here is a list of the awards we've given out in the past:
Outstanding Educator
Outstanding Community Partner
Outstanding Administration
Outstanding Civic Health Partner
Outstanding Youth Engagement Program
Outstanding Student Leaders
