In order to enroll in the PUC Induction Program and obtain your CA Clear Credential, you must possess a valid California PRELIMINARY Credential [Multiple Subject/Single Subject (SB 2042 Credential), or an Education Specialist Teaching Credential]. If you have an Intern Credential, you are NOT qualified for Induction.

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing requires completion of a Clear Credential within five years of issuance of the Preliminary Credential.  Induction is highly recommended to start "in the beginning teacher's first year of teaching."
