Summer Health & PE
Hello rising MCHS 9th graders and parents!

MCHS is excited to once again offer Health and PE this summer! Health and PE are graduation requirements in the state of Georgia. For several years, MCHS has offered students the opportunity to take these in an abbreviated summer course to meet this requirement and earn a high school credit before entering 9th grade.

This course will operate during these weeks:

Week 1: June 7th-10th (now closed)
Week 2: June 14th-17th (now closed)
Week 3: June 21st-24th

The summer course consists of two pieces:

1: One week of health (Monday through Thursday from 7:45-3:45) STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT FOR EACH DAY-NO ABSENCES ALLOWED.

2: Either
a) two weeks of Personal Fitness (Monday-Thursday from 7:45-12:45) OR
b) 30 hours of physical activity as part of a school-sponsored sport/activity (must be signed off on by coach/sponsor; only activities listed below will be approved)

*BOTH HEALTH AND PERSONAL FITNESS WILL BE IN-PERSON ONLY*

Please complete the form below if you are interested in this opportunity. You'll select the week in which you plan to take the health course, then select the method by which you'll earn the PE credit-either with the coaches during the two weeks which you're not taking Health, or by participating in one of the activities/clubs listed below.

This form must be completed by 5/14.
