The CRIsim.summit 2022 is an original and eye-opening conference concept hosted in one of the top universities in the Netherlands: the University of Groningen's pioneering Campus Fryslân faculty during 10.04.2022 to 13.04.2022. We have created a new and innovative solution to the age-old Model United Nations (MUN) concept when it comes to simulating real-time governance, conflict- and disaster management.

During the four days at Campus Fryslân, you will experience crisis response and disaster management as a real-time in-person strategic crisis simulation, working in specialised delegate teams: Actor/state teams (ASTs).

Here you will have the possibility to navigate realistic crises; explore possibilities of interorganisational negotiations; become part of the crisis by generating directives to bring about new developments and develop policy recommendations under expert advisement. We will provide high-level and renowned expert and youth speakers, as well as interesting panel discussion interlinking with our crisis! After being accepted, we will provide you with a detailed memo on the crisis region, the Bay of Bengal!

Each team is overseen by a mentor to guide you through the concept and assist with procedural and teaming activities, and consists of the following 5 positions: Foreign Affairs (AST Representative), Environmental Affairs, Security & Defense Affairs, Economic Affairs and Social & Humanitarian Affairs.

Each AST position is specific to the actor or state you are going to represent. While here in Leeuwarden, the event platform, on campus snacks and drinks, amazing socials and the gala event will be catered for during the four days.

The participation fee for the CRIsim.summit 2022 is €105. Details of how and by when you can pay this will be given should you be accepted. Applications for participants close on Sunday, the 27th of February 2022, at 23:59pm.
