2023 New Zealand Water Polo National Awards - Player of the Year (Female)

Please complete the Player of the Year (Female) nomination on the below form.

Nominations:

Nominations are invited from anyone including individuals, Clubs and Centres. It is suggested Clubs nominate those who have won their Club awards.
The nomination must be completed on the below form with any supporting documentation attached.
The nominee must be a member of a water polo club which is affiliated with Water Polo New Zealand.
If the nomination does not meet the award criteria it will not be accepted.
Nominations must relate to the 2023 Season.

Award Criteria:

Exhibited a high level of commitment to both trainings and games.
Demonstration of dedication and an individual performance plan approach to their growth which includes targets for the year and working with a Coach.
Demonstration of their understanding of values and respect to the game through a high standard of sportsmanship and fair play both in and out of the pool.
Exhibits ambassadorship and contributes to coaching/ refereeing/ volunteering when required.
National Coaching team may be consulted on nominee’s behaviour, integrity, and adherence to team values and culture.

Nominations must be received by New Zealand Water Polo by Monday, 19th February 2024

There are 3 Finalists per category.

Finalists will be announced by Friday 1st March 2024.

Finalists will be notified and their names published by NZWP

Finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held after the AGM

Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony (immediately after the AGM) on Saturday, 6 April 2024.
