Brass Day 2021 at Stephen F. Austin State
Brass Day at SFA Schedule - Sunday - 10/17/2021

A day devoted to high school students of all ages who play a brass instrument including trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba who are interested in learning more about how to perform the prescribed audition etudes for all-region and all-state band for both TMEA and ATSSB.  There will also be information for prospective music majors about the School of Music and its audition requirements for acceptance.

1:00-2:00 PM All-region etudes clinic for ATSSB students with SFA professors

Trumpet – Dr. Jake Walburn
Horn – Dr. Andrea Denis
Trombone – Dr. Deb Scott
Euphonium – Mr. Erasmo Herrera
Tuba – Dr. J.D. Salas

2:00-3:00 PM All-region etudes clinic for TMEA students (5A-6A) with SFA professors (as above)

3:15-3:45 PM - Informational Session about Stephen F. Austin State University

4:00 PM Performance by The Pineywoods Brass Quintet / SFA Wind Symphony & Symphonic Band
