Hello to all those business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs in the Kansas City regional food system!
YOU all went into business to feed YOUR community, right??
You all wish that more of the market knew about how to plug into local food sources...rather than mass produced national/global food sources, right??
Well then, these are the town halls for you. You may have heard it said before, that "One can not change the existing reality by fighting the current system...to change the system, one must build a new system to make the old one obsolete."
The Kansas City Wellness Club's vision has always been about building this new system. Our take on the Problem, Market, and Solution is below. We want to be the marketplace- the connectors, the bridge builders, the guides- to connect you all to the market, and the market to you all. In that community spirit, we want to invite you to the first open town halls on the topic, to discuss the concept and intended July pilot group, validate assumptions & logistics, and build the coalition of the willing.
- May 15th at 2pm
- May 31st at 9am
Attendance can be either in person at the Wellness Club (918A Baltimore Ave, 64015) or via Zoom (sent upon RSVP).
Please RSVP below, and let us know a little bit about you. Even if you can not make either of these times, please reach out to us so we can reach out to you individually to synergize.
Professionals who this may interest are: Farmers (whether Rural or Urban), Meal Prep businesses, Chefs, Nutritionists, Dietitians, Restauranteurs.
If we unite, our competitive advantage over the current national/global market monopolies is that we are:
Local- lower shipping costs/risks, benefit local economy
Fresh- local food, better quality/nutrition/health
Natural- from the earth, free or minimal harsh pesticides/chemicals
Personalized- within consumer's existing budgets, tailored to individual meal/taste preferences
