Girls on the Run of Spokane County
inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
To make this program possible each year, we rely on the help of hundreds of volunteers! We need general volunteers to help with tabling events, supporting local races, or attending run clubs. We also need the help of volunteer coaches to make our program run each spring (find more info here:
www.gotrspokane.org/coach).
Lastly, we need 5k volunteers! Each spring season with a Celebratory 5k. This closing 5k gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Every child in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement. This year's Celebratory 5k is on Saturday, June 1st.
