Below is a list of events the PTA puts on throughout the year. These don't work out unless we have help from our Hoover community. Please fill out the activities you have interest in helping with for the remainder of this school year and/or next school year.

Spend a few minutes of each morning penny wars week helping the kids put their money in the containers.

Hoot-N-Howl (late October)

Decorate after school, staff an activity, donate food items and/or help clean up after the event. (A fall festival for the whole family with costumes, a candy walk, tattoos and games.)

Kids Night Out (early December)

A night out for the kiddos!! This entails planning games/activities, snacks, signups, etc.

Staff Appreciation Week (early May)

Assist with decorations, donate food, set up. (A special and favorite time to thank our wonderful Hoover staff for all that they do.)

Spring Carnival (late May)

Help collect donations from local businesses for our raffle, put together raffle baskets, help setup, work games, work raffle basket table.

Other ways to help: *

PALS (Parents at Lunch) - assist the kids at lunch time with whatever they may need

Welcome Table - spend a few minutes in the morning signing in late arrivals, or getting various items to students

Showcase - Decorating PTA bulletin board in the main lobby

School sign - update outdoor school sign when needed

Beautification - helping to keep our landscape and exterior looking good

Dine to Donate / Skate Nights - with our guidance: plan our D2D and skate nights. Print, hang and distribute flyers

Lost and found - help keep the lost and found organized, take pictures to share with families, schedule donation pickups throughout the year

Yearbook support - help take pictures of field trips, events, class parties and more for your child's grade level. Make sure to share with the yearbook team
