Lanta Gras is a Mardi Gras parade with purpose. Our mission is to build community and provide opportunities for children through the common bond of music. Our proceeds provide musical instruction to elementary, middle and high school children within the Jackson Cluster of the Atlanta Public Schools System.

All participants can ride a float, walk, dance and/or ride bikes, unicycles, skateboards or roller skates. If Krewes have powered or towed floats, the towing vehicle must be rated for the Krewe load and have redundant safety chains and safety walkers. Krewes can also adapt wagons, soap box derby cars, rickshaws or any other type of people powered vehicle into floats.

All funds raised go towards supporting a musical footprint in our neighborhoods via the Lanta Gras Music Program.
