PEER-A-PALOOZA 2021
What PEER-A-PALOOZA is About:
PEER-A-PALOOZA is an empowerment conference for Peers by Peers. Our goal is to bring peers from the mental health and substance abuse field together as a Community.
Who Should Submit:
We welcome proposals from those that are new to the Community, have lived experience, educational training, and a passion for this Community. Anyone that has something to share with those that attend.
What Should You Submit:
The theme of PEER-A-PALOOZA 2021 is “Creating a Zest for Life Through Growth, Resilience, Recovery and Community.” How do you and members of your community survive and care for one another? Your presentation topics could range from lessons learned in 2020, sharing recipes that you cooked for your community, reflections on surviving the pandemic etc.

We will consider a range of presentation-styles that reflect the PEER-A-PALOOZA  theme from individual presentations to panels to artistic performances. The Talent Showcase is themed: HOLLYWOOD! We are particularly interested in presenters who center issues and creative works that are not frequently brought into larger discussions around disability, equity, justice, liberation, politicization, and intersectionality.

We invite people to create presentations that are between 10-45 minutes long that are clear, engaging, and accessible to many. This is a way we break away from traditional conference presentations which are often too long and inaccessible for many people.

 How To Submit:
You may submit by filling out this form, or you may email us PEER.A.PALOOZAProposalTeam@gmail.com to request a Microsoft word version or PDF version. You can also submit your proposal by emailing a video response.

All questions are required unless marked “Optional.” The reason behind the questions asked is because PEER-A-PALOOZA intentionally centers the lived experiences of presenters who reflect communities of marginalized and disabled people of color, many of whom may not have advanced degrees.

If you would like assistance completing this proposal, or have questions about the proposal itself please email: PEER.A.PALOOZAProposalTeam@gmail.com
