Here's a quick rundown of each guest type.
Voice Actor (English) / Voice Actor (Japanese)
Examples: Matt Mercer, Monica Rial, Rica Fukami, Mamoru Miyano, etc.
A person who primarily does voice acting roles for anime, games, and more. We split these up by English voice actors and Japanese voice actors, also known as seiyuu.
Cosplay (American) / Cosplay (International)
A person who cosplays characters from Japanese media and has a positive influence on the cosplay community. Cosplay contest judges are typically at the master level of craftsmanship or performance. Cosplay media guests typically have significant positive cultural, educational or inflential impact on the cosplay community. We split these up by those based in America, and those based outside of the United States.
Artist / Crafter
Examples: Amelie Belcher, Sho Kitagawa
A person known for their artwork or illustrations. Could also include crafters of non-cosplay creations.
Gaming
Examples: SEGA, Yoshi-P, Nintendo
A person or group who is known specifically for gaming in some capacity. Could include a professional gamer / esports player or companies / organizations related to gaming. Does not necessarily include streamers.
Industry
Examples: Right Stuf, Funimation, Crunchyroll
A person or organization known specifically for their work in the anime industry - usually licensing or distribution companies and their representatives.
Cultural
Examples: Three Trails Taiko
A person, group, or organization known for Japanese cultural or lifestyle-related things, such as kimono, ikebana, taiko, or sake.
Musical
Examples: Hachioji-P, Earthbound Papas, DANTZ
A person or group known for musical performances. Could be instrumental, idol, or DJ.
Other
Any other type of guest not described above - could include streamers, vtubers, YouTubers, local groups / organizations, businesses, etc.
