The Leadership Leander program cultivates qualified, passionate leaders to solve problems and develop our community, connect with other professionals, and strengthen skills required for a lifelong leadership career.

Leadership Leander is a nine month education and development series packed with real world exercises in community involvement and leadership.  The series features the best hands-on tours and field trips of community facilities, services and venues.  The basis of the series is observation and interactive participation on a once a month basis, with limited homework and with a minimum of interim assignments.

The series is structured so that the participants of Leadership Leander can access information and learn to be better leaders in a format that encourages lifelong business relationships. Application is due on or before, Jan. 20. (Date submitted is a criteria for acceptance determination.)

Commitment: 

Leadership Leander is held on the third Tuesday of each month from February through September. (March is typically moved to accommodate class, June is the 14th. ) Each class also volunteers at the Old Town Street Festival on June 3, and participates in a class nonprofit project.  A Welcome Happy Hour will be held in January and graduation is held October 14 at the Leander Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony & Gala.  Your fee includes all classes, meals, and a ticket to the gala.

Fee: Standard non-member tuition rate is $1050. 

Rate reduction off the standard rate is available for Chamber members as follows:

Associate ($300 off), Collaborator ($325 off), Partner ($350 off), Investor ($375 off), Founder ($400 off)

A $300 scholarship is available for one small business Chamber member each year. 

Membership must be and remain in good standing and must be current throughout the program. If not current, the individual will not be allowed to participate.
