Dear Parent or Guardian,

Lake Lure Classical Academy, in partnership with Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach, offers a Backpack Food Program. The program provides a bag of nutritional, non-perishable food each week for the weekend and for out-of-school times. Below is some information about the program.

There is no cost for this program but the intent is for those with food insecurities.

The food bags will be distributed on Friday afternoon and/or the last school day before a holiday or vacation.

Distribution will be in a discreet and confidential manner.

Please be advised that these food bags may contain some foods that contain peanuts, nuts, soy, wheat, eggs, and milk.

All food is labeled and sealed by the manufacturer. We do our best to check expiration dates but you may want to check as well.

Each student within a family is eligible to receive a bag of food. It is not limited to one per family.

Please complete this form if you would like your student to participate and you are in agreement with the above conditions.
