Nov.20 - Holiday Market Vendor Application
Thank you for your interest in participating as a vendor in BlackRock's 2021 Holiday Market at BlackRock Center for the Arts. This event is outdoors and is weather dependent.  

Join BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD for this multicultural, non-secular outdoor holiday market, followed by a live indoor concert of jazzy holiday standards with the Eric Byrd Trio! This is a great opportunity to highlight local businesses and for visitors to learn more about the various holidays and cultures that make our community festive. With food, games, and holiday surprises, this festive season kickoff only needs one thing- your family- to complete its winter wonderland magic.

9:00 AM: Full-Day & AM Vendors arrive for set-up

10:00 AM: Holiday Market opens

2:00 PM: AM Only Vendors breakdown

2:30 PM: PM Only Vendors set-up

7:00 PM: VIP Lounge in the Kay Gallery with drinks and a Sarah Laughland Vivaldi dance performance, leading up to the 8:00 PM jazz performance with the Eric Byrd Trio.

8:00 PM: Jazzy holiday standards for the whole family with the Eric Byrd Trio* Tickets required.

*As BlackRock continues to prioritize the health and safety of our visitors, staff, students and artists, it is required (until further notice) that anyone inside the building must wear a mask and anyone age 12+ must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Application is due no later than Thursday, November 18th.

VENDORS:
⭐️ This is for local businesses, organizations, and groups who want to support and participate in free events for our community.
⭐️ Vendors will not need to provide tents or tables-- this will all be set-up in advance and vendors will be assigned a station.
⭐️ Vendor Fee for participating is $100 for the full day, $60 for a half day. Please indicate if you are interested in AM or PM but please note that the final determination will be made by our team based on needs.
⭐️ Vendors will be assigned a 10x10 space outdoors on the BlackRock lawn.
⭐️ Businesses will await approval by our team regarding your confirmed participation. It is important that any items being sold at this event are appropriate for the event.

Please provided a description of your items, price range, and link to view image examples of your items. Friendly reminders: Vendors are required to charge 6% sales tax and will be assigned a temporary Maryland State Tax ID# by the MD State Comptroller’s Office after the event, if needed. All makers of edibles, farmers, skin care product vendors and any vendors with potentially harmful products such as glass must have liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000.000 per incident coverage and a minimum of $2,000,000 umbrella coverage at the time you are accepted and complete the online application. These documents must be emailed to the Holiday Market team (HolidayMarket@BlackRockCenter.org) when completing this online application. *

 ►  AGREEMENT | You certify that you have read, fully understand, and agree to comply with BlackRock Center for the Art’s Information and Regulations, and that the information that you have provided on this application is true and complete. You will be personally responsible for ensuring that the use of your space is carried out in conformance with this application.  As a vendor, you agree that you, or anyone entitled to act on your behalf, together with the organization you represent (if any), hereby waive and release the City of Germantown and the organizers of this event, plus all event partners, sponsors and volunteers, and their representatives, successors and assigns, from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of your participation, even if that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.  Participation by groups or organizations other than City of Germantown officials, departments or committees does not constitute City of Germantown endorsement. ► CANCELLATIONS |  Vendors assume all risk of loss for damages associated with their participation in this event. BlackRock reserves the right to terminate the event or cancel if it determines such action to be in the best interest of BlackRock and the community. The event will be cancelled for severe weather that would put the safety of vendors and visitors at risk. *
HEALTH & SAFETY | All participating vendors are required to wear a mask while at their booth. We also recommend all vendors provide their own hand sanitizer for guests to use. Thank you for helping to keep our visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors safe! *
