2) What nation is he King over? How big is his Kingdom?

3) Who did he throw this massive party for?

4) Who did he throw the 2nd party for? Who did the Queen throw a party for?

5) What were a lot of people doing at the party? Would this party have pleased God? Why or why not?

6) What did the King order the Queen to do? How did she respond?

7) What was the advice of the wisemen to the King? What was their reasoning for giving this advice? Did the King take their advice?

8) Why do you believe the bible starts off the book of Esther like this? What purpose does the Holy Spirit have in showing us this information first?

9) What does it tell us about the different people that will be in the book later on? Describe what we learn about at least 3 different people.

10) The Kingdom of Persia was not an easy place to be a Christian. Describe a time in your life where you were in a difficult place to be a Christian. What made it difficult? How did it go? Was God pleased with the way you acted in the situation. Be honest. Recognizing the times in our lives we could have done better is just as valuable as recognizing the times God gave you victory and worked through you.
