The Global Shapers Community is a network of city-based Hubs led by young leaders between 18 and 27 years old who want to improve their communities by reducing inequality and increasing access to opportunity.
The Los Angeles Hub meets officially once a month, with other optional events. Additionally, members work together to design impactful projects that benefit the local community and work together on broader initiatives with other hubs from around the world. Members are expected to attend the Hub’s monthly meeting on the last Wednesday of each month, and participate in at least one project. We are committed to creating a community that unites people from all backgrounds, fields, and perspectives — representative of LA's diversity.
This application should take around 30 minutes (get reflective).
Applications are reviewed on an annual basis. Below is the timeline for our upcoming recruitment cycle:
- December 1 - January 20: Application Open
- January 4: Virtual Information Session @ 6pm
- January 22-26: 1st Round Interviews
- January 29 - February 2: 2nd Round Interviews
- February 5: Final Acceptances
