AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a schoolwide instructional system. We enroll a limited number of qualified AVID candidates in an AVID Elective class and higher level courses. AVID focuses on research-based methodologies (writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading) and 21st century skills to prepare students for college and career readiness.

AVID students are expected to maintain good attendance, satisfactory citizenship, grades of C or higher in all content and elective classes, and demonstrate determination and a strong work ethic for achieving goals.
