For the fifth year, the WAWG Cyber Education Team will be hosting a 9-days cyber education camp on August 3-11, 2024. This camp will allow cadets to learn the basics of Computer Science & Engineering and Cybersecurity to test their interest or to launch themselves into this field. Participants will have the opportunity to explore various cyber careers in military and civilian fields. It is also a great camp in preparation for the AFA CyberPatriot competition season.
Primary/Alternate slotting will be announced by 31 March 2024
Participation Requirements- Minimum 12 years old
- Active CAP members
- Curry Achievement completed at the time of application
- Basic Encampment completed at the time of application
- Computer beginners are welcome
- Register with your official CAP email address as you will need it to use the cyber ranges
- Apply by 31 January 2024 on Registration Zone (e-Services)
Activity Locations: Redmond National Guard Armory and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
To access JBLM: Participants under 18 years old will need to present their CAP ID card and a photo ID. Participants 18 and over will need to present a valid government issued ID card in addition to their CAP ID card. If you are not a US citizen, be prepared to present a valid passport with a current visa or resident card.
