The Appalachian State University TRIO SSS program (Student Support Services) uses different proactive approaches that provide structured one-on-one sessions with at-risk college students. We provide individualized, supportive and engaging opportunities for interaction between the graduate assistants and our students.
Position types:
1) Academic Coach for first year and continuing SSS students
2) Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) with SSS-only sections of RC 1000 and First Year Seminar
For either position please do the following list of things:
1. Provide the Google Reference Form Link (in section 5 of this form) to two professional references
2. Fill out this Google Form and submit it
3-a. For the Academic Coach, submit a CV or resume to the SSS Assistant Director, Allyson Murphy (murphyag2@appstate.edu)
3-b. For the Graduate Teaching Assistant, submit a CV or resume and a sample of your writing as a text or .pdf document to the SSS Advisor & Instructor, Mady Fitzgerald (fitzgeraldmr2@appstate.edu)
