2024 MPI Virginia Annual Conference Request for Session Proposals
The 2024 Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Virginia Chapter Annual Conference is the Chapter's signature education event. The conference is scheduled for August 5-7, 2024 at Kimpton The Forum Hotel in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Our 2024 Annual Conference theme is "Leadership Amplified: Inspire, Innovate, Ignite." The conference aims to bring together event planning and meeting professionals to engage in education, idea sharing and conversation related to topics that will advance the meeting industry across the Commonwealth and beyond its borders. Attendees can look forward to presenters that will INSPIRE attendees in the areas of leadership development, current event trends, INNOVATIONS and the creative use of technology to advance our industry. Sessions are guaranteed to IGNITE the passion for creativity and shaping extraordinary experiences that they can then take home with them and implement in their own day-to-day meeting planning process.

Presenters are encouraged to submit sessions that focus on the following areas,
  • Inspiring the team - working with team members, clients and/or volunteers
  • Event Trends
  • Innovative Audio Visual Design
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
  • Event design and implement - small to large scale events
  • Budgeting and money management - setting events up for financial success
  • Community Engagement - building partnership and expanding your network
  • Enhancing the Experience - Sponsorships, Sourcing, Sustainability, ROI
  • Team building - leadership development, communication and expanding your team.
All session proposals are welcome and can expand beyond the suggested topics listed above. Presenters are always encouraged to be creative and submit sessions that incorporate interactive and hands-on learning activities.

All session proposals are due no later than April 30, 2024 at 5pm. Late submissions may not be accepted.

Presenters who are selected to present at MPI Virginia's Annual Conference will be able to take advantage of the reduced Speaker Rate available once registration opens. MPI Virginia is unable to provide honorariums, stipend or travel reimbursements for presenters during the Annual Conference.
