Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover
Celebrating the 90th Anniversaries of the Eureka Public Library & Nancy Drew! 1930-2020
The Eureka Public Library first opened its doors in 1930. Know who else answered the scene in 1930? Nancy Drew! Read, investigate, and discover with us this summer and earn prizes along the way.
There are five possible adventures to participate in. Do one or more—your choice!
CitizenReader—read a minimum of two hours per week
CitizenSleuth—complete six puzzles
CitizenVolunteer—spend three hours picking up litter
CitizenArchivist—transcribe six historic documents
CitizenScientist—spend six hours helping scientists
*Each adventure has six tasks.
*Cross off a magnifying glass each time you finish a task.
*For each magnifying glass crossed off, you will earn a slip for our grand prize drawing: a $100 Eureka Business
Association gift check.
*If you cross off all 6 magnifying glasses in one or more of the adventures, you will win additional prizes!
You do not need to bring in your logbook each week. Keep track at home and turn in the log book by Friday, July 17. You can mail the logbook to us or return it in the drop box if we are not open. Prizes will be distributed the following week.
